"Single" Parents

The word single in my opinion is one person alone . When you have a child you are not alone .

You have a child and that child beside you becomes the two of you . That two becomes your own family . A family that is never more closer then the bond you have when you have been left alone or left a relationship that had to come to an end . We use the word single sometimes in our conversations to people such as "could I have a single ticket " "Please can I have a single coned ice cream "All of these things is asking or wanting one thing or something on its own .

Mums left with a child are called single parents because yes they are bringing a child up alone however in my opinion again you have a team ( which is your child or children and alone you are not .
